THEY'RE back - The Krankies will join star David Hasselhoff for this year's Clyde Auditorium pantomime.
The world's biggest pantomime producer, Qdos Entertainment, last night announced Scottish showbiz stars Ian and Janette Tough will return for 2015.
Casting director and executive producer of Peter Pan, Jonathan Kiley said: "We are absolutely delighted that Ian and Janette will be returning to star in our Glasgow show.
"They are stalwarts of the pantomime tradition, much-loved by audiences wherever they perform and are true Glaswegian panto-performers.
"The Krankies have a unique style of humour which is going to work terrifically onstage with our dastardly Captain Hook, played by David Hasselhoff."
Ian and Janette are known to a generation for their popular 80s children's TV shows including Crackerjack and The Krankies Klub, as well as for their catchphrase Fan-Dabi-Dozi. This will be the comedy duo's sixth pantomime season at the SECC, most recently having appeared as Zip and Baron Hardup in Cinderella.
The pair join the legendary David Hasselhoff who is best known for his iconic roles as Michael Knight in Knight Rider and Mitch Buchanan in Baywatch, starring as pantomime's ultimate baddie, Captain Hook.
John Langford, Director of Live Entertainment, SECC said: "We are thrilled that The Krankies will be returning to The Clyde Auditorium for Peter Pan and cannot wait to see them take on the Hoff who will be making his debut at our panto this year".
Tickets for Peter Pan, which runs from December 12, 2015 to January 3, 2016, are already on sale. See www.secc.co.uk or call 0844 395 4000.
