AN elderly pedestrian has died after she was struck by a car.
The accident happened on the A96 at Alves Woods, between Forres and Elgin in Moray, at about 5.45pm yesterday.
Police said the woman, who has not been formally identified, died at the scene.
The driver of the black Vauxhall Vectra saloon involved in the accident was unhurt.
The road was closed while police investigated the collision.
