PENSIONERS were treated to a 1940s inspired tea dance in Lanarkshire.
The Strictly Come Dancing Tea Dance featured a performance by The Kennedy Cupcakes and live music from Big Band That Swing Sensation.
The afternoon was organised as part of the Reshaping Care for Older People (RCOP) programme.
But it was the pensioners themselves who stole the show - with a mass choir made up of different older people's groups.
They wowed the audience with a performance of Bring Me Sunshine and Take That's Rule the World.
Kirsty Struthers of Voluntary Action North Lanarkshire (VANL), the event's organisers, said: "There was a tremendous amount of hard work, rehearsal and preparation in the build up, and I know there were some nerves.
"But months of practice paid off because when the older people's groups came together as one, they sang with a power and resonance that brought a tear to many an eye. The day's been a marked success."
