A WOMAN who admitted neglecting her six pets has been banned from keeping animals for 10 years.
Jennifer Dyer, of Cumbernauld, admitted that she failed to ensure the welfare of her four cats and two collie crossbreed dogs.
She also pleaded guilty to not providing the necessary vet attention and adequate food for her cats.
She admitted offences under the Animal Health and Welfare (Scotland) Act 2006.
The 26-year-old was given 200 hours of community service and a two-year supervision order on top of the ban at a hearing at Airdrie Sheriff Court.
The prosecution came following an investigation by the Scottish SPCA.
