A DRIVER was killed when his vehicle collided with an articulated lorry.
The 49-year-old was behind the wheel of a cattle float on the M74 near to Elvanfoot, Lanarkshire.
The crash between the two Scania-make vehicles happened at around 1.20pm on Wednesday.
The driver of the cattle float was pronounced dead at the scene while the 45-year-old driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
Constable Kenneth Beeby, from Road Policing in Motherwell, said: "I would appeal to anyone who has information to contact police via the non-emergency number 101."
