A MAN has been detained after officers were called to a disturbance in Irvine tonight.
Police Scotland said the man confronted officers called to a house in Kirkland Terrace, shortly after 6pm.
A force spokesman was not able to give details of the nature of the disturbance.
He said the incident was resolved by 9pm and a man had been detained.
He was taken to hospital for assessment.
No one else was involved.
