Police are investigating after a train conductor was racially abused.

The incident happened as the train travelled between Markinch in Fife and Dundee on Saturday.

The suspects are a woman with blonde hair and a man wearing a light blue top.

Constable Lynda Casey of British Transport Police said: "This sort of abuse is unwarranted and rail staff or passengers should not be subjected to it.

"Anyone who was on the train or at the stations and has information regarding the identity of the man and woman is urged to contact BTP."
