Police want to trace a Good Samaritan who helped a man after he was attacked.
Detectives today urged a passer-by who stopped to help the 39-year-old to come forward.
The victim was standing near the Craig Dhu Public House, in Calside, Paisley at around 12.30am on February 2.
Detective Constable Elaine Malcolm, from Paisley CID, said: "Our enquiries have revealed that the injured man may have been assaulted in a nearby flat.
"He has then been seen outside the public house where a Good Samaritan has come to his aid.
"We would like to trace the Good Samaritan as he may have information which could assist with our enquiries.
"I would also like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of the public house, or on Calside, at the time of the incident."
