WORKERS at a printers firm are being given the day off to vote in the independence referendum.
Staff with JJR Print in Dumbarton will not need to go to work on September 18 and the Yes supporting boss has urged other firms to do the same.
Director Iain Robertson, a former SNP council leader, said: "I'm a Yes supporter and a member of Business for Scotland and I'm obviously looking for and working for a big vote for Yes but I'm not telling my staff how to vote or what to do.
"We're giving our staff this extra day because we respect the work they do with us and we think it's important that they have the time to get out and do what they need to do on polling day."
