The man, who has not yet been identified, was found in Bellahouston Park, in the South Side of the city, by a horrified member of the public.
The discovery was made at 8.50am yesterday. Police immediately threw up a cordon covering an area of the park around the Glasgow Ski and Snowboard Centre, near to Dumbreck Road.
Police confirmed the death was being treated as "unexplained".
Forensic experts wearing protective clothing were at scene yesterday and part of the park was closed to public.
A post-mortem examination is expected to take place today to try to establish the cause of death.
A police spokeswoman said: "We received a report that a man's body was found at around 8.50am on Sunday in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow. Officers are working to establish the identity of the dead man and inform his relatives."
