A PROBE is continuing after a man was shot in the legs and thrown down a grassy verge in East Kilbride.
Detectives are carrying out inquiries into the "targeted" attack, which left onlookers shocked on Friday.
The 45-year-old man was reportedly held for two days before being dressed in a forensic-style boiler suit, shot through both legs and thrown down the embankment, close to a busy main road.
H e is understood to have been found by a member of the public near to the junction of Stewartfield Way and Stewartfield Crescent.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 12.10pm and the victim was taken to Hairmyres Hospital.
Police believe it was a targeted attack and are appealing for information.
