Pub glassing thug jailed

A father jailed for four-and-a-half years for attacking another dad at a school has now been convicted of glassing a man in a pub.

Stephen Savage, 38, was jailed last year after admitting assaulting William Punshon to the danger of his life last January 20, at Caledonia Primary School in Glasgow's Baillieston.

He has now been convicted of assaulting James Clark in the By The Way pub in Main Street, Baillieston in July 2011 and sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Savage, of Uddingston, denied glassing Mr Clark to his severe injury, but the incident was captured on CCTV footage and he was found guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

Sheriff Norman Ritchie QC told him the latest jail term would be served on completion of his current sentence.
