A GROUP of lucky school pupils got the chance to follow in the footsteps of Olympic hero Chris Hoy.
Pupils from Greenfaulds High School enjoyed a taster session at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome at the Emirates Arena.
The session was organised by Game On Scotland, the official education programme of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and its legacy.
A total of 14 pupils enjoy a shot on the famous track, which played host to all indoor cycling events at the Commonwealth Games.
Jamie Hepburn, Minister for Sport, Health Improvement and Mental Health said: "The legacy of our Commonwealth Games learning is being continued with this amazing trip, to this fantastic venue. Who knows, the next Chris Hoy could be inspired after today."
Alison Drever, Senior Education Officer at Education Scotland, said ??This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to take to the track at such an iconic venue. We are delighted to be able to support schools as they embark on the legacy of the Commonwealth Games.??
