Nesbitt star Gregor Fisher is to appear in an Audience With . . type show at the Citizens' Theatre.

Gregor, who has played the Govan street philosopher for almost thirty years will be interviewed by actress Maureen Beattie for the first half of the show.

The second half will feature a Q and A session with the audience.

All proceeds from the evening will go to the Citz rebuilding campaign, a £16m project which will commence in 2016.

Maureen Beattie says the evening will be special, and it's for a great cause.

"My family have been involved with the Citz many times over the years and we're delighted to help the fund.

"And it will be great to look back over Gregor's terrific career."

As well, as playing Rab, father-of-three Gregor has appeared in a range of BBC sitcoms over the years, he was the Baldy Man character and has starred in several films.

He featured alongside Al Pacino in The Merchant of Venice, with John Hurt in Nineteen Eight Four and he played a pivotal role alongside Bill Nighy in Love, Actually.

Gregor also has a wealth of theatre experience behind him, from panto to comedy with Borderline Theatre Company.

He is also set to appear alongside Maureen Beattie in Yer Granny, the National Theatre of Scotland's latest production which is set to tour Scotland.

Gregor stars in the title role as a 100 year-old Italian-Scottish grandmother who eats her family out of house and home and Maureen plays Marie, the voice of reason.

Rab C.Nesbitt stars Barbara Rafferty and Brian Pettifer also appear.
