THOUSANDS of people are gearing up for the annual Santa Dash this weekend to raise money for charity.
And comedian Des Clarke and his Capital FM co-host Jennie Cook were at the Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice to encourage more people to sign up for the 5k fun run.
The Glasgow charity, which is trying to raise £15million for a new hospice through its Evening Times-backed Brick By Brick Appeal, has been chosen by the city council as one of two to benefit from this year's festive fundraiser.
The council has also gifted the land needed for the new hospice at Bellahouston Park.
Just under 2500 people completed the course last year, raising thousands of pounds in the process.
Men, women, toddlers and even a few dogs pulled on their Santa suits and beards at George Square and took to the streets.
Des said: "I would encourage everyone to sign up for this festive fundraiser.
"The Brick by Brick Appeal is a cause that Jennie and I support 100%.
"And Christmas is a really great time to support such a worthwhile charity."
