Rail bosses slam 'sickie' strike threat

RAIL bosses have slammed a union strike threat after a train driver was demoted for pulling a "sickie" to go to watch a Rangers match in Germany.

ScotRail chiefs said they would stand firm on the decision and said the threat from train drivers' union Aslef was "deeply disappointing".

James Foster, 47, of Bellshill, Lanarkshire, told bosses he was ill when he had gone to a match in Hamburg.
