Rape claim: Two reported

TWO men have been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with an alleged rape in Glasgow.

The 28-year-old and 29-year-old were repor-ted over the alleged incident in Govanhill.

A major police probe was launched after a 24-year-old woman said she was attacked in the early hours of May 19.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Two men, aged 28 and 29, are the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal in connection with an alleged serious sexual assault in Dixon Road."

Thousands turned out to march on the streets of Govanhill in June following the alleged incident.

Men and women walked from the gates of Queens Park and around Govanhill, including along Allison Street.

Meanwhile, officers are continuing their investigation into the gang rape of a woman in Toryglen.

The 33-year-old victim was attacked by a group of men in May.
