ONE of the world's most sought-after single malt whiskies will go under the hammer this week in Glasgow.
The rarity of the 50- year-old Macallan means that very few examples ever come to auction.
The whisky will headline the McTear's Rare & Collectable Whisky Auction tomorrow and is expected to fetch around £25,000.
In 2008 a bottle of the whisky sold for £4400, with a similar example fetching £18,000 five years later.
