DEMAND for hotel rooms in Glasgow reached a record high in October for the third month running.
A new report says occupancy in the city averaged 85% last month, resulting in the best October figures since monthly record keeping began in 1999.
On 11 separate nights, occupancy was more than 90%, peaking at 99% on two separate occasions on October 5 and October 22.
On October 5, Rod Stewart performed at the Hydro arena and the Great Scottish Run was held the following day.
On October 22, the city hosted Celtic's Uefa Champions League match with Ajax and Jessie J at the Hydro. August and September also recorded record-breaking occupancy levels with each month having the highest occupancy levels since records began.
