RENFREWSHIRE Council has cut its carbon footprint by almost 30%.
The local authority is one of only two in Scotland to meet the 25% target to reduce its CO2 emissions.
Workers have reduced carbon emissions from 43,899 tonnes to 31,454 tonnes in seven years.
Councillor Terry Kelly said: "We recognise that climate change is a serious issue with the potential to affect us all."
