HOMELESS people in West Dunbartonshire are being given a new start thanks to a renovation project.
West Dunbartonshire Council has refurbished the block of flats at 28 Ashton View, in Dumbarton, creating a supported accommodation space.
The first eight clients are expected to move into their new homes in the next two weeks, with the project being expected to help a further 22 local people out of homelessness every year.
Councillor David McBride, Convener of the council's Housing, Environmental and Economic Development Committee, said: "We hope this accommodation represents the beginning of a new phase in the lives of these people."
The facility will be staffed 24 hours a day and residents will be fully supported.
