GENEROUS residents from North Lanarkshire have rallied to a cause supporting the educational chances of girls in Africa.
The Malawi Pants Appeal resulted in thousands of pairs of new pants being donated to help girls in that country go to school.
Organised by "North Lanarkshire's Aiming Higher in Malawi" project, it asked people to drop off a pack of new pants to their local leisure centre - and thousands of packs were handed in.
