Riordan denies charges

Ex-Celtic star Derek Riordan "disguised" himself to get into a nightclub and then hurled homophobic abuse at staff when asked to leave, a court has heard.

Edinburgh Sheriff Court was told Riordan entered the city's Picture House in the early hours of May 7 2012, despite the fact that he was subject to a court ban stopping him from entering Edinburgh night clubs.

Riordan denies the charges.

The trial will continue next month.
