DRIVERS faced delays on the M8 today after a woman jumped from a Glasgow city centre bridge.
The woman was discovered in the River Clyde near the Clyde Arc. It is understood she jumped from the Kingston Bridge.
She was taken to the Royal Infirmary, but her condition was not known.
Police and ambulance staff were called to the river about 9.45am.
The M8 was closed on the entry slip road from West Street for some time after the incident.
Traffic was also delayed eastbound at junction 20 on the M74.
