A SHOP worker was threatened during a robbery at a Paisley dry cleaners.

A man entered the Corrieri Dry Cleaners, in Broomlands Street, at around 4pm last Monday.

He then threatened the worker with a weapon and demanded money from the till.

The man then ran off with a three-figure sum of cash.

He is described as white, between 5ft 3in and 5ft 5in tall with a medium to stocky build and Scottish accent.

He was wearing a yellow high-visibility vest over a dark coloured top, dark trousers, white trainers and wearing a black woolly hat.

Detective Constable Andrew Henderson said:

"I am appealing to anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the incident, perhaps you noticed the man acting a little suspiciously or perhaps you saw him running up towards the cemetery. If you have any information or knowledge, please do get in touch with us."

Anyone with information is asked to call Paisley Police Office on the non emergency police number 101. Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.
