GOLF bosses are calling on locals to offer up their spare rooms to sports fans.
The Professional Golfers Association issued a plea to families to let Ryder Cup volunteers struggling to find accommodation stay in their homes.
It follows the success of the More Than Gold scheme that gave homes to scores of Commonwealth Games volunteers in Glasgow.
More than 15,000 people flocked to Glasgow from around the world to become Clydesiders following a plea by the Scottish Government.
