A YOUNGSTER from Glasgow has won a national competition to design a logo for the Boys' Brigade's 130th Anniversary.
Ross Graham of the 1st Glasgow Company was chosen from hundreds of entries from across the country.
His winning effort depicting the trademark BB anchor logo surrounded by fireworks will be used by BB groups as they celebrate their landmark anniversary during the next year.
The 1st Glasgow was the original Boys' Brigade group, set up on October 4, 1883 by Sir William Alexander Smith.
Ross, 8, was congratulated by Sandra White MSP, who launched the logo at Kelvingrove Museum.
She said: "As the BB was founded in Glasgow it's marv-ellous that a member from Glasgow has won."
Ross said: "I copied the fireworks I watched at Glasgow Green last year. I forgot all about the competition but it was really cool when I heard that I'd won."
