IN the biggest move of the shake up, Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is moving form Health Secretary which she has held since 2007 to take on a job that will include overseeing the Bill on the independence referendum.
The Evening Times columnist remains as Alex Salmond’s deputy but her new title will be Infrastructure and Investment, but with a focus on the 2014 poll.
Humza Yousaf is rewarded for a bright start since hi s election as a list MSP for Glasgow last year with a job as minister for external affairs and International Development under Culture Secretary Fiona Hyslop.
Mr Yousaf also an Evening Times columnist, has impressed with his contributions in the parliament and articulate and assured appearances on television including Question Time.
Other moves include Alex Neil to take over as Health Secretary,
Business manager, Bruce Crawford chief whip, Brain Adam and climate change minister Stewart Stevenson retire from Government.
The rest of the front bench remains the same with John Swinney, remaining at Finance, Kenny MacAskill at Justice, Mike Russell at Education and Richard Lochead at Environment.
