IT'S not every day you see a quartet of scientists with such hair-raising styles.
The Cancer Research UK team from the Beatson Institute in Glasgow had their hair styled into red and orange Mohicans by hairdressing students from Clydebank College for the Stand Up To Cancer fundraising campaign.
Tracy Berg, 34, Nadja Pfetzer, 33, and Saverio Tardito, 33 from Glasgow and Laura Galbraith, 27, from Helensburgh, are part of a team of Cancer Research UK scientists trying to identify how to decrease the growth of cancer tumours.
They are calling on local people to organise their own fundraising activities for the scheme with help from the charity's free fundraising pack.
Tracy said: "We need them to join us and stand shoulder to shoulder in the fight against a disease which affects one in three people in the UK at some stage in their lives."
A host of stars are supporting the scheme, and Alan Carr and Davina McCall will host a live Stand Up To Cancer night on Channel 4 on Friday October 19.
