MORE needs to be done to help Scottish businesses expand into international markets, a survey has suggested.
A number of barriers preventing businesses going global were found when 372 firms were questioned by the Scottish Chambers of Commerce.
Competition in the market and lack of confidence in the economy were also found to affect the ability of businesses to grow domestically, the trade survey said.
Other barriers faced by businesses include difficulties in recruiting and training staff with appropriate skills and access to finance.
