Scots to support Tom Jones

TWO young Scots musicians have been given the opportunity of a lifetime – supporting superstar crooner Tom Jones.

Singers TJ Bilham, from Glasgow and Edinburgh-based Carrie Mac have been chosen to warm the crowd up ahead of the Welsh singer's live concert at Hamilton Park on Friday.

TJ Bilham, originally from Hamilton, now lives in Glasgow and is currently working with songwriter John McLaughlin.

He'll perform his own "pop rocking ballads" including One More Kiss, Close Your Eyes and Summertime.

Carrie Mac, who cites Fleetwood Mac, Katy Perry and Kelly Clarkson as influences, is an old hand at supporting big-named artists as she's previously performed for The Proclaimers, Sandi Thom and Tommy Reilly.

A limited number of tickets are available for Friday, from £35, and some will be available at the gate on the night.

Top pop acts Steps and Peter Andre are also set to appear at the venue this Saturday.
