A MAJOR international fashion retailer has chosen the suburbs of Glasgow for its first Scottish outlet.
Gerry Weber is one of Germany's most successful fashion and lifestyle clothing chains and is opening a store at The Avenue Shopping Centre in Newton Mearns.
The retailer, which has thousands of outlets around the world, is planning to open up shop in the East Renfrewshire mall in the coming weeks. The new store will be located next to Marks & Spencer and the Primavera Bistro.
Centre manager Michelle McCabe said: "We're delighted that Gerry Weber has chosen to locate its first ever Scottish store in The Avenue."
The coup comes after a number of other retailers launched recently in the mall, including boutique Sass & Hyde.
