A Glasgow school celebrated a landmark birthday this week.
St Mungos Primary School and Nursery Class, based in Townhead, celebrated 50 years in business on Friday.
The catholic school, which houses just over 200 pupils, celebrated the landmark in style with a special anniversary mass.
Primary one to seven pupils, teachers, parents and family members all attended the event, which saw members of the church, including Archbishop William Nolan, leading attendees through prayers, gospel and communion.

Attendees also took part in singing hymns alongside the three-piece guitar band and a select group of pupils read out prayers and sections of the bible.
Talking on the day, Mrs Patricia McNulty, head teacher at St Mungo’s Primary School and Nursery Class beamed with joy.
She said: "Today was a beautiful celebration.
"We are a very inclusive school and we come from such a diverse range of backgrounds.
"So, to have this beautiful celebration today is all of what St Mungos is about, it's about family, community and coming together.
"It was wonderful to have Archbishop Nolan here today too.
"It has just felt like a really good coming together of the community, especially since we've been so disparate over covid."
After the special mass, attendees gathered to look at the memorabilia of past pupils and St Mungos classes.
The display included old photographs, awards and sign-in sheets dating back decades prior.

Whilst taking in the 50-year-old history, attendees were also offered free sandwiches and pastries, as well as tea, coffee and juice.
Alongside some key figures at the event, Douglas Hutchison, the director of education was also in attendance.
Speaking to the Glasgow Times, he said: "It's excellent to be here.
"It is so great and is such a landmark for the school, but it is also a great celebration of everything the school has achieved up to now.
"This is a real promise for the future as well.
"This school is filled with a great group of kids, a great team of staff and a real sense of community.
"It's a joy to be here."
Speaking on St Mungos future, Mrs McNulty added: "I am so proud to lead this school and we are very excited about the future of St Mungos.
"Our role is increasing this year and we are delighted to welcome so many new children and we just hope that we go from strength to strength."
St Mungos Primary School and Nursery Class opened in 1973.
The school currently accommodates 206 children, and the nursery class accommodates up to 48 children.
