FUNERAL details have been released following the death of a Glasgow priest.
As the Glasgow Times reported last week, Father Henry Parkinson died peacefully at age 91 in his Glasgow home.
Now, funeral arrangements have been released by the Archdiocese of Glasgow.
The reception will take place at Saint Michael’s in Dumbarton at 6.30pm on Thursday, June 1.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at the same church at 12pm on Friday, June 2 and he will be buried thereafter at Cardross Cemetery.
Father Henry Parkinson was ordained for the Kiltegan Fathers in 1957 and came to Scotland in 1968 from Ireland.
He worked at St Andrew’s in Bearsden, at St. Peter’s in Partick and St Michael’s in Dumbarton before his retirement in 1996.
