A Glasgow Wetherspoon pub is to close for almost two months to undergo a million-pound refurbishment.
The pub giant is investing £1.4 million in redeveloping the Sir John Moore pub on Argyle Street, with work beginning on Monday, July 17.
As part of the work, the pub will close from Monday, August 7 until Sunday, October 3.
Wetherspoon is developing two former shops next door to create a larger customer area, as well as upgrading the bar and installing new toilets.
A total of 40 new jobs will be created in the move.
Wetherspoon area manager, Stewart Dumbreck, said: "The Sir John Moore is an extremely popular pub.
"This investment highlights our commitment to offering our customers the best possible pub.
"We are also pleased to be creating 40 new jobs."
