A warning has been issued to commuters amid major disruption to ScotRail services.
Trains running through Cambuslang on the outskirts of Glasgow have been cancelled due to damage to overhead lines.
It is understood that a faulty pantograph, which is a current collector mounted on the top of the train and attached to the overhead wires, has caused the disrepair.
The disruption was first reported around 3pm on Monday afternoon.
Engineers raced to the station to attend the damage. It is not clear when the issue will be resolved.
A spokesperson for Network Rail said: "We've received reports of damaged overhead lines in the Cambuslang area which is linked to a damaged pantograph on a train.
"Trains running through this station will be affected.
"Engineers have been dispatched and are expected on site shortly."

A spokesperson for ScotRail added: "Due to damage to the overhead lines near Cambuslang, services running through/near this station may be cancelled, delayed or revised."
