UPDATE HERE.

AN incident near a busy railway station in Glasgow sparked a huge emergency response.

A large presence of 999 crews was spotted on Cleveden Road in the city's West End at around 7.50pm on Wednesday, January 10.

Several ambulances, fire and police crews were seen in the area next to Kelvindale train station.

It is understood the incident was a medical emergency.

The full nature of the incident is not yet known, but we will bring you more on this as we have it. 

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, the British Transport Police, and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
