A man has been 'left injured' following a horror attack in Alexandria.

The incident took place on Colquhoun Drive at its junction with Heather Avenue and Bowie Road on Tuesday, February 13, at around 7.10pm.

During the shocking ordeal, a 73-year-old man was approached from behind by another man who assaulted him and nicked his wallet before heading in the direction of Bowie Road.

The culprit is described as being around 6ft tall, and was wearing a dark hooded top, dark trousers, and light-coloured trainers.

Following the attack, police are appealing for information on the incident.

Detective Constable Calum Hall said: “The victim was left injured and understandably shaken as a result of this incident.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who was in the area around the time and may have dash-cam footage which could assist us to get in touch.”
