Two people have been rushed to hospital after an incident on a busy road near Glasgow.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service say they were called to a vehicle smash on Drumcavel Road in Gartcosh shortly after 7.30pm on Thursday, March 7.
Two fire trucks were sent to the scene, where firefighters worked to make the area safe.
Following that, two people were taken to hospital for treatment.
It is currently unclear how many vehicles the accident involved.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted at 7.38pm on Thursday, March 7, to reports of a road traffic collision in Gartcosh.
"Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances to the town's Drumcavel Road, where firefighters worked to make the area safe before leaving the scene.
"Two casualties, who had self extricated from their vehicles, were taken to Glasgow's Royal Infirmary by Scottish Ambulance Service personnel."
