Ambulance crews have revealed an update after a man was 'slashed' in Glasgow.

A significant emergency response was seen at Hartlaw Crescent in the city's Cardonald on Sunday evening following a 'violent incident'. 

A 31-year-old man was attacked and left with laceration wounds.

The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed that paramedics took the man to hospital to be treated for his injuries. 

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 18:36 on April 7, 2024 to attend an incident on Hartlaw Crescent, Glasgow.

"An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital."

An investigation into the attack is underway and anyone who may be able to provide information is urged to come forward. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.30pm on Sunday, April 7, we were called to a report of a 31-year-old man seriously assaulted on Hartlaw Crescent, Cardonald.

“He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information that may assist our investigation should contact 101 quoting reference 2797 of April 7.”
