SIR Rod Stewart swung by a Glasgow hotel to get his picture taken with a "local legend".

The music icon visited the Radisson RED hotel at Finnieston Quay to meet Ricardo - who works at the venue.

In the image, the Hoops-daft musician rocked a stylish suit with a Celtic tie while he posed with the hotel worker for a picture.

Announcing the star's visit on social media, the plush venue said Ricardo is a "bit of a local legend".

It went on to say he has previously looked after "some of the biggest DJs on the planet" - so it "wasn't surprised" when the All for Love singer stopped by to get his picture taken with the "man, the myth, the legend".

Rod recently released a new album - called Swing Fever - with fellow musician Jools Holland. He is also known for his hits including Have You Ever Seen The Rain, Baby Jane, Sailing and many more.

In a social media post, the Radisson RED Glasgow said: "Our Ricardo on the left is a bit of a local legend!

"Last weekend he was looking after some of the biggest DJs on the planet, last night he was leading the Guilty Pleasures conga and played the last record to a full capacity Sky Bar so we weren’t surprised in the slightest that our pal Sir Rod Stewart swung by with J-Mac to get his picture taken with the man, the myth, the legend.

"Ricardo you truly are our superstar!"
