TWO men have been arrested after an alleged assault in Paisley.

The incident took place on Argyle Street in the town shortly after 6.30pm on Sunday, April 14.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene, where a 46-year-old man was treated.

Following that, two men, aged 28 and 34, have been arrested and charged in connection.

They are set to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court today (Monday, April 15).

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 6.40pm on April 14, we were called to a report of an assault on Argyle Street, Paisley. 

“Emergency services attended and a 46-year-old man was treated at the scene. 

“Two men, aged 28 and 34, were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

"They’re due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on April 15.”
