A GLASGOW road will close tomorrow morning until further notice due to a gas leak.

Govan Road will be shut eastbound at Cressy Street by Scotland Gas Networks so engineers can work to fix the issue.

The restriction will start at 9.30am and will be in place until needed.

The Clyde Tunnel southbound off-slip to Govan Road will also be closed.

The company warned delays are expected, especially during peak periods and drivers are advised to use an alternative route if possible.

Diversion will be as follows:

Eastbound traffic on Govan Road will be diverted at Moss Road to travel westbound on Govan Road, southbound on Renfrew Road, eastbound on Shieldhall Road and northbound on Langlands Road to return to Govan Road.

Southbound Clyde Tunnel traffic will be diverted to the Langlands Road off-slip and then directed to Govan Road.
