SCIENTIST Richard Dawkins has announced an "unmissable" event in Glasgow.

Described as "one of the most respected scientists and thinkers of our time", the evolutionary biologist and author is going on a US and European tour.

His show, An Evening With Richard Dawkins and Friends, is set to visit Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Thursday, October 31.

It will include unscripted conversations touching on topics from science to religion, life on earth and beyond.

Audiences will also hear first-hand about his forthcoming book, The Genetic Book of the Dead, in which Dawkins delves into the transformative potential of DNA in our understanding of evolution.
