Two people have been rushed to hospital following a 'multi-vehicle crash' on Glasgow's M8.

It comes after we reported Traffic Scotland said the incident took place on the Kingston Bridge's westbound carriageway shortly after 9am on Tuesday, April 23.

The road firm said part of the motorway was left obstructed following a three-vehicle smash.

Now, the Scottish Ambulance Service has said they were called to the incident.

In total, one ambulance and two special operations response teams were sent to the scene.

Following that, two people were taken to hospital.

Traffic Scotland has said the road has since been cleared following the accident.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at 9.25pm to attend a road traffic collision on the M8 Kingston Bridge.

"An ambulance and two special operations response teams (SORT) were dispatched to the scene and two patients were transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH).”
