RESCUE teams searching for a Bishopbriggs hillwalker have found a body.
Daniel Bennett, 43, was last seen at the Green Welly Stop in Tyndrum shortly before 12pm on Saturday March 28.
He is thought to have gone walking around the hills in the area but had not contacted friends of family since then.
Yesterday afternoon investigators discovered a body on nearby Ben Oss.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "Police and their partners in Forth Valley Division searching for Daniel Bennett have recovered a man's body.
"A large-scale search operation involving Police Scotland, Killin Mountain Rescue Team, Lomond Mountain Rescue Team, Tayside Mountain Rescue Team, Arrochar Mountain Rescue Team, Search and Rescue Dogs Association and RAF Mountain Rescue Team has been ongoing since the 43-year-old was reported missing on the Tyndrum Hills on Saturday March 21.
"The body was recovered in the area of Ben Oss late this afternoon.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the man's identity and Daniel's family have been informed of this development."
