HOUSEHOLD bins in North Lanarkshire will be collected seven days a week from April.
North Lanarkshire Council is introducing the seven-day operation to make the service more efficient.
Around 90% of households will see their waste bins collected on a different day and details of the new collection days will be provided soon.
Councillor Helen McKenna said: "By moving to a seven-day operation, we can deliver our waste management service using fewer vehicles, which reduces our costs and helps us achieve the necessary savings."
