A HUGE section of a new aircraft carrier built on the Clyde has completed a 600-mile journey to Rosyth.
The 8000 tonne hull section of HMS Prince of Wales left Glasgow for the Fife dockyard last Monday.
Known as Lower Block 03, it departed from BAE Systems on the Clyde and travelled around the north coast of Scotland.
The hull of the second Queen Elizabeth Class carrier weighs more than an entire Type 45 destroyer and forms the mid-section of the aircraft carrier's hull from the keel to the hangar deck.
The first carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth, was officially named by Her Majesty the Queen last month and has been undocked for the first time, making way for final assembly of HMS Prince of Wales at Rosyth.
The ships are being delivered by the Aircraft Carrier Alliance, a partnership between BAE Systems, Thales UK, Babcock and the Ministry of Defence.
