A CHARITY is asking staff to wear their slippers to work to help raise cash for the homeless.

Shelter is asking the public to donate £2 and share a photo on #slippersforshelter for a chance to win a £1000 prize from LateRooms.com

All money donated will help people with bad housing and homelessness including the 4,000 children without a home this Christmas in Scotland.

Graeme Brown, Director of Shelter Scotland, said: "We're encouraging people to give their feet a rest and donate £2 to our appeal by wearing their slippers to work.

"The money raised will enable us to continue our vital work supporting families and individuals from becoming homeless or, if the worst happens, support them to get a decent roof over their heads.
