HUNDREDS of soldiers from the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards will take part in a home-coming parade in Glasgow tomorrow.

They will leave Holland Street at 11am and march to George Square, where Lord Provost Sadie Docherty will take the salute outside the City Chambers.

Scotland's most senior regiment - and its only cavalry regiment - returned to its permanent base in Germany in February after spending six months deployed in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Mrs Docherty said: "Glasgow is proud of its military and it is always a pleasure to welcome our men and women safely back home.

"They face dangers we cannot begin to comprehend and we are all in their debt for their courage and professionalism."
